These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the MaryForward website and services. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

MaryForward provides an online platform connecting patients with qualified specialists for second opinion consultations. These consultations are advisory in nature and do not establish a physician-patient relationship with our reviewing clinicians.

Our service provides second opinions only. We do not replace your primary physician or healthcare team. All treatment decisions should be made in consultation with your treating physicians.

MaryForward is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency room immediately.

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. A parent or legal guardian may submit a case on behalf of a minor patient.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
• Clinician accounts are subject to credential verification and approval, and may be suspended or revoked at our discretion.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

The quality of a consultation depends on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide. You are responsible for ensuring the medical records and information you submit are accurate, complete, and up to date, and that you have the right to share them.

Your case will be reviewed by licensed professionals who provide their expert assessment based on the records and information you submit. Use of your medical information is governed by our Privacy Policy, our Notice of Privacy Practices, and the consent you provide before submitting a case.

Information about clinical trials is provided for educational purposes only. Eligibility criteria and availability change frequently; always verify current status with the trial sponsor. Inclusion of a trial on our platform is not a recommendation or endorsement.

You agree not to:

• Use the services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Submit information about another person without authority to do so
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the platform
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute content from the platform without permission

The platform, including its content, design, and software, is owned by MaryForward or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the medical records and information you submit, and grant us the limited license needed to provide the services described in these Terms and the consent you sign.

Fees for consultations and related services are listed on our pricing page and may change from time to time; the price shown when you submit a case is the price that applies to that case. Fees are payable before a case review begins.

If you cancel a case before a clinician has begun reviewing it, you will receive a full refund. Once review has begun, fees are non-refundable except where required by law. MaryForward does not bill or accept insurance; you are responsible for all fees directly.

The services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee any particular medical outcome, response time, or the availability of any specific clinician.

MaryForward and its affiliated clinicians provide opinions based on the information available to them. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MaryForward is not liable for treatment decisions made based on consultations provided through the platform, or for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the services. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MaryForward’s total liability arising out of or relating to the services is limited to the amount you paid to MaryForward in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

You may close your account at any time by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or where required to protect the platform or its users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the services will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Maryland, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Continued use of the services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
